Everything is Connected, The Sharjah Biennial 16 Edition
The Sharjah Art Foundation and Light Work are delighted to partner on a limited season of the ‘Everything is Connected’ podcast, developed in partnership for the Sharjah Biennial 16. Hosted by writer, curator, and producer, Folasade Ologundudu, the series will engage in dynamic conversations on the curatorial theme, to carry, through the voices of a selection of artists presenting newly commissioned work, and the director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, Hoor Al Qasimi. Through these conversations, Ologundudu will explore the tenets guiding each artist’s practice, across disciplines, geographies, and artistic mediums.
During the opening programme of the Sharjah Biennial 16, from Feb 6 – 9, Ologundudu will host a series of conversations with participants exploring the creative forces at play in their work and delve into the societal contexts that shape their artistic practices across various disciplines including painting, film, sculpture, installation, and art history. Folasade Ologundudu
Folasade Ologundudu is a curator, podcast creator and writer, based in New York, whose practice seeks to uncover ideas related to the universal human condition. She has written art criticism, profiles, interviews, and essays for ArtForum, ARTnews, Cultured Magazine, Frieze, Photograph Magazine, among other publications. Ologundudu is also the founder of Light Work, a creative media platform rooted at the intersection of art, education, and culture. Through her podcast, Everything Is Connected, she holds conversations with artists, curators, and entrepreneurs deeply rooted in visual arts, and community building.
